Offficial looks to crowd-source app ideas, pay the public – 18th March 2011
Offficial has launched an initiative to give members of the public an easy route into the potentially lucrative arena of mobile phone app development. The Heaton Mersey-based outfit has created FundedApps – a free to download app that allows users to submit their own app ideas for development. If the ideas are backed by Offficial, a group of investors will then pay the chosen users £250 per idea and guarantee them 25% of all net revenue earned. Each idea costs £1.19 for users to submit. Offficial has been started by former Nokia executive Alastair Curtis and previous Fascin8 MD Jamie Lyons.
